Canada Day for Hopeless Romantics

Apr 10, 2016

Ahh, Canada Day. Memories of it stem all the way back to when I was a kid living in Kelowna and heading down to Okanagan Lake with my mom, dad, brother and grandma to watch the fireworks. Of course, this being Kelowna and the weather being what it was, the event always had a huge turnout, and we would have to arrive at least four hours early just to get a good spot to sit.

I’m close enough now that I don’t even have to leave the house anymore to see the fireworks; I just look out the front window and there they are. There’s alot of things I can do at home. I can enjoy the air conditioning; I can wear my PJs when watching the fireworks; but I can’t get the great food at West Lake Grill, live Jazz, and the view from the Ranch Deck to watch the fireworks at home. Some things you just need to dress up and go out to enjoy.

All of our staff loved every minute of it! The food, atmosphere, service, table setup, sleigh ride…it was all great! I was wondering if I could book us in for next year already?
